Appointment options

Our aim is to make the process of obtaining a valuation from us as convenient, straight forward and stress-free as possible.  Whether you work nights, work from home or work Monday to Friday 9-5, we are sure we have an appointment option that will work for you.  Our most popular option is the private visitation appointment, but we also offer appointments at some of the countries leading jewellers and auctioneers.


Private visitation

Unlike a lot of other companies and jewellers, who require you to send your item(s) to them or away to be valued.  We approach things a little differently, as we provide a unique private visitation service, where we will come to you to undertake the inspection aspect of the valuation, so there is no need for you to send your item(s) away.

For us, it’s about making the whole valuation process as convenient as possible.  So with a private visit option, we can come to your home, place of work, solicitors, bank, or any other suitable and convenient location to undertake the inspection aspect of the valuation.   During the appointment all of the pertinent information, photographs and testing are undertaken and recorded in your presence, so there is absolutely no need for your treasured item(s) to be sent away.  The research aspect of the valuation and the compilation of the schedule itself is undertaken back at our office and once completed you will receive both a hardbound and PDF copy of your valuation.

Convenience isn’t the only thing we focus on, we also want the valuation to be as cost-effective as possible for you.  Which is why typically there is no additional charge for this service.  However in some cases depending upon the location, we may charge a small ‘travel’ fee for this service.  This would, of course, be discussed and agreed on before any appointment or work is carried out.

Our private visitation appointments are available during normal working hours Monday to Friday, along with Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

Appointments at Jewellers and Auctioneers

As part of our continuing effort to make the valuation process as convenient as possible, we also offer valuations by appointment at selected jewellers and auctioneers. 

We undertake appointments at Bristol’s leading bespoke jewellery designer, Julie Anne Palmer, and the South West’s premier auctioneers Gardiner Houlgate. For our Welsh clients we are delighted to offer appointments at Wales’s leading and record-setting auctioneer Rogers Jones & Co in Cardiff and Carmarthenshire’s leading auctioneer Peter Francis.

Like our private visitation service,  all pertinent information, photographs, and testing are undertaken and recorded in your presence, so there is absolutely no need for your treasured item(s) to be sent away.  The research and valuing aspect is again done back our office and your completed valuation is then forwarded on to you within several days.

Aside from the standard valuation fees, there is no additional charge for these appointments.  So please contact us to discuss or to arrange a valuation appointment.
